Neutral Tone masks are specifically designed to provide maximum flexibility when working with groups of mixed ethnicity. They are not intended to represent any specific skin tone. Instead, they represent the absence of one. Many educators and practitioners prefer Neutral Tone masks for workshop and classroom work, as they allow all performers to use any mask freely and without implied ethnicity.
Please note: Neutral Tone masks exist in a slightly different theatrical reality to the Light, Mid and Dark Skin Tone masks and can appear almost ‘ghostly’ if used along side them.
